  • Abstract:
This paper presents data collected from adjudicators and Adjudicator Nominating Bodies (ANBs) since the introduction of the statutory right to adjudication in the Housing Grant, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996. ·This data shows the increasing trend towards adjudication in the UK and the costs associated with the adjudication process. The paper discusses the sums of money in dispute and compares these with the adjudication costs. The evidence shows that, on average, the adjudication cost amounts to approximately 3% of the sums in dispute.
